mel gibson, kurt russell ve michelle pfeiffer'ın başrollerini paylaştığı 1988 yapımı film. türkiyede tehlikeli kokteyl ismiyle vizyona girmiştir.
Uyuşturucu satıcısı olan Mac McKussic (Mel Gibson), artık temize çıkmak istiyordur. Eski bir yakın arkadaşı olan Nick Frescia (Kurt Russell) ise polis olmuştur ve Mac'i adalete teslim etmek istiyordur. Mac, bir restoran sahibi olan Jo Ann (Michelle Pfeiffer)'e ilgi duymaktadır. Jo Ann'e yakınlaşıp, Mac hakkında bilgi almak isteyen Frescia, Jo Ann'e aşık olur. İki arkadaşın aynı kadını sevmesiyle arkadaşlıkları da tehlikeye girer ve olaylar gelişir.
80'li yıllara damgasını vuran filmlerden biri olan tequila sunrise, en iyi görüntü yönetmenliği dalında oscar'a aday gösterilmişti. ve filmden sonra aynı adlı içkisi tekrar çok popüler olmuştu. -
eagles'ın 1973'de çıkan desperado adlı albümündeki şarkılardan biri.
