şu "yuvarlanan r" sesi sadece amerikan ingilizcesinde vardır ve dünya dillerinin geri kalanının neredeyse tamamına yabancıdır. bu yüzden bilimkurgu ve fantastik eserlerde kullanılan yapay dillere pek eklenmez. yapay dil demişken, orta atlantik aksanı denilen, dünyanın hiçbir toplumuna ait olmayan bir aksan, 1930'lae ve 40'larda amerika'da aristokratlar arasında yayılmıştır. o yılların gümüş perdedesinin bu meşhur ingilizcesi sadece holivut filmlerinde ve dar gruplarda bir elitlit göstergesi olarak kullanılmıştır. bazı özel okullar bunu "doğru ingilizce" ilan edip çocukların ingilizcesini buna yontmaya kadar götürmüşler işi. ingiliz ingilizcesi özentiliği savaştan önce bu noktadaymış. hepsini göster
